(UK) THRASH / METAL Sekhmet spawned in summer 2003 and the following year won a Battle of the Bands at Exeter Cavern, leading to the recording of the "Desolate Earth" single, the band followed this succesful release with thier own self-financed release E.P. "Engine of War" in May 2006, much praised, including a glowing review in Metal Hammer. Fast forward to 2007 and this saw the band gain more press attention including an article in Terrorizer magazine on the band as part of the rising "UKThrash" scene.
