(RUS) HARD ROCK / GRUNGE In 2008 invincible Russians GRENOUER released worldwide through Locomotive Records the sixth album named “Lifelong Days”. The release was followed by band’s participation in big festivals, touring in Europe and playing significant gigs at home, e.g. as a supporting act before TESTAMENT, TEXTURES, TESSERACT, etc. After that GRENOUER started composing new material running the same way as “Lifelong Days” – mixture of progressive metal and core approach. A lot of songs were made but this material was never brought to studio. Locomotive Records announced closing of activities and like many other bands GRENOUER were forced to alter their plans from the point of view of schedules and budgeting. In the context of no hurry GRENOUER initiated new creative brainstorming which finally caused dramatic changes. Years before the band already went thru total revaluation when they finalized the chapter of playing traditional death metal and switched to experimenting with modern sound. This once the musicians dared to go further. Taking inspiration from post-grunge and hard rock feeling, bands like DARK NEW DAY or ALICE IN CHAINS. For fans of. STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, SOUNDGARDEN, ALICE IN CHAINS, FILTER,
